Leave your pride at the door if you want to be good at anything especially when it comes to public speaking. If you ask for help, you will get it.
Kristina Swift remembers seeing a speaker and their presentation got completely derailed because the audience would not settle, and she found herself in the same situation a few years ago. Make the audience stop talking, wait for them to pay attention before moving on with your presentation.
If you are prepared and you know you'r content, you have practiced, you have anticipated questions and audience reactions, the presentation will go well.
How to with with someone that may be asking an off topic question.
Some things that Kristina Swift does to engage the audience and keep the presentation interesting.
Bridgett McGowan: "The more people know about you outside of work, the more they connect with you, and the more they connect with you, the more they like you."
Have a clear objective and message for whatever it is you are delivering, and close with something they will remember you by.
